Why Straight Lines Make Me Nervous
Penned on Friday, September 11, 2026
We live inside a grid of crisp, cold rectangles. Our monitors are rectangles. Our apps are grids of 8-pixel intervals. Our spreadsheets calculate our lives into neat columns.
When you draw a straight line with a ruler, the machine takes credit. But when you draw a line with your bare hand and it wobbles because your heart was beating, or because you chuckled midway through, that line carries your actual biological signature.
In Scribbleverse, you will never find a clean 90-degree rectangle or an unblemished machine stroke. Every card has a wobbly radius, every button looks like someone cut it out of construction paper with safety scissors, and every character was born from an unedited doodle.
Embrace the wobble. Itβs proof that youβre alive.
